A Simple Repair to a Damaged
Plumbing Vent Flashing

This is a very easy repair. Flashings used to flash around plumbing vents are often metal with a rubber collar. The rubber on some of these collars deteriorates in just a few years. This creates leaks. Often the leaks are not visible because they run down interior walls, but the damage done can be quite extensive over a long term period.

Here you see a damage pipe flashing. The rubber collar is very deteriorated. There were several of these on this roof.

Remove the damaged rubber from the flashing and slide the umbrella down over the pipe.

Here is the finished repair. Took about 30 seconds to complete, not including the time it took to locate and purchase the product?
